Extensive additions and refurbishments of a 1982 apartment block situated on the picturesque 1st beach in Clifton along the Cape’s spectacular Atlantic Seaboard: the conversion comprised 6 luxury residential units built over 8 levels. Challenges during construction included removing and replacing a number of outdoor structures, including reinforced concrete walls and columns, swimming pools, concrete surface beds and slabs and approximately 1000 m³ of blasted rock.
